Suzy Bradley

“intimate, sometimes confessional and always from the heart”

Songwriter Suzy Bradley has paid her dues and honed her unique style over the last few years. Based in Yorkshire, she is a regular on the acoustic music scene and folk festival circuit, as well as formerly lending her powerful vocals to acclaimed rock band The Murderhouse, who released an album in 2006 and toured in the UK and USA. Suzy has played several live sessions on BBC radio, and has gigged all over the UK and even crossed the Atlantic to play in New York, Brooklyn and New Jersey, while she has supported artists as diverse as US art-rock band My Brightest Diamond, Glasgow folk-rockers Sons And Daughters and jazz chanteuse Gwyneth Herbert. Describing her style as “intimate, sometimes confessional and always from the heart”, Suzy’s unflinchingly honest, sometimes dark, acoustic songs and her remarkable folk and jazz-influenced vocal style now gain a new depth from her collaboration with her band, The Morning After, featuring classical cellist Lucy Blakeson, ex-The Murderhouse guitarist David Martin and former Bloody Marys Ryan and Kate Shirlow on bass and percussion. They’ve variously been called “excellent” (Folk and Roots), “haunting” (The Fly) and “an under-rated gem” (The Talk).
